Techris Design
Website Developer
2012–2013, 2016–Current
After high school internship, was offered regular part-time position as computer technician. Transitioned to full time shortly thereafter, then transitioned rolls to website developer position. Became highly valued for my advanced, up-to-date technical knowledge, as well as my problem-solving ability.
Worked directly with clients to plan and design projects. Coded frontend (HTML, JavaScript, CSS) and backend (Python, PHP) for custom websites. Worked with non-relation and relational databases (MySQL, CouchDB). Connected to 3rd party APIs. Built a GraphQL API backend for a custom application. Debugged and fixed older code written by my predecessors, vastly improving the performance of a slow application.
Built a framework complete with an ORM-like module, form handling and form generation, and a secure authentication system. Developed a content management system for websites built with aforementioned framework. Built an internal tool for managing invoices, designing custom computers, and tracking shipping. Worked with asynchronous code. Introduced the company to version control (git), resulting in cleaner and codebases and better organization.
Configured network sharing on Windows, MacOS, and Linux. Built and installed CAT5 cable and other network infrastructure. Built, maintained, and managed servers (Linux and Windows). Administrated Linux web servers (Docker, Apache, Nginx, etc…). Configured routers (DNS, DHCP, Port Forwarding).
Diagnosed and repaired hardware and software problems. Performed regular system maintenance. Directly assisted customers remotely, on-site, and in-store. Hand-built custom computer systems.
